Artists of all ages and experience levels from around the greater Antelope Valley and the 5th Supervisorial District of Los Angeles County are welcome to participate.

Unbridled is a juried exhibition showcasing the fearless vision of women artists who engage with the many meanings of the American West—its land, histories, cultures, and mythologies. This call invites work that is raw, visionary, experimental, or traditional—no holds barred—as long as it speaks to a personal idea of “Western”.

It's sure to get dusty as we explore the rich history of the lands and people that formed us–from the Tataviam people and the pioneering oil/gold rush to the wave of Western film, spanning across vast deserts, creatures, plant life, vast rocks, and California’s breathtaking views.
Spirit of the West
The City of Santa Clarita is pleased to present its latest art exhibition, “Spirit of the West,”on view in the First Floor Gallery at City Hall (23920 Valencia Boulevard) now through May 20, 2026. This juried showcase celebrates the legacy, landscapes and cultural imagery of the American West, inviting viewers to reflect on its history, traditions and evolving identity. From desert vistas and rugged terrain to horses and frontier life, “Spirit of the West” explores the stories and symbolism that continue to shape Western identity while highlighting its influence on contemporary artistic expression.
